MN State Fair

Yesterday I took a trip to the Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul.

One of our first stops were the animal buildings.

I loved looking at all the different types of poultry.
We wondered why we didn't raise some of these colorful birds.

This guy looks all dressed up with a fancy hairdo.

Another one with a great hairdo.

These guys look sad to me.

I hope they really aren't as sad as they look.

In the pig barn we stopped to see the largest boar.
It is amazing how large they can get.
This one is 1,450 pounds!

I got the girls to stand by the pen for a little bit.

In the horse barn we found a water truck on display that was donated by a cousin of my sister's husband.

Amazing that water was hauled in this many years ago.

We stopped to get a refreshing drink but it wasn't from the water truck.

It came from the MN Wine Country area.

We decided to try a sampler of 6 wines.
Check out this carrier.

Sampling away.....

Yum-Oh....

My favorite was number 1.
Sogn Blance from Cannon River Winery in Cannon Falls MN.

My sister's favorite was number 9.
Frontenac from Saint Croix Vineyards in Stillwater, MN.

I hope you enjoyed a few of my fair pictures.
