My 'bubble' girl

The girls went on only one ride at the fair but it was one that we had not seen before.
It was called Euro Bobbles - I called it Euro Bubbles however as it looked like
giant bubbles floating or bobbing around in a shallow pool.

If you take a close look at the sign it says 1 ticket, what it doesn't say is that ticket was $5!
Well worth it I think after watching it.

The bubbles were probably 5 feet tall.

When the girls got in, the bubble deflated.

It was funny to see them in the bubbles.

It reminded me of a Seinfeld episode - The Bubble Boy.

It was fun watching the workers as well as the girls in the bubbles.
The workers kept the bubbles moving around in the water and encouraged the people inside to get the bubbles moving on thier own.

I love this video, I wish I would have taken a longer one!

I hope this first trip to the MN State Fair will be a memorable one.

MN State Fair

Yesterday I took a trip to the Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul.

One of our first stops were the animal buildings.

I loved looking at all the different types of poultry.
We wondered why we didn't raise some of these colorful birds.

This guy looks all dressed up with a fancy hairdo.

Another one with a great hairdo.

These guys look sad to me.

I hope they really aren't as sad as they look.

In the pig barn we stopped to see the largest boar.
It is amazing how large they can get.
This one is 1,450 pounds!

I got the girls to stand by the pen for a little bit.

In the horse barn we found a water truck on display that was donated by a cousin of my sister's husband.

Amazing that water was hauled in this many years ago.

We stopped to get a refreshing drink but it wasn't from the water truck.

It came from the MN Wine Country area.

We decided to try a sampler of 6 wines.
Check out this carrier.

Sampling away.....

Yum-Oh....

My favorite was number 1.
Sogn Blance from Cannon River Winery in Cannon Falls MN.

My sister's favorite was number 9.
Frontenac from Saint Croix Vineyards in Stillwater, MN.

I hope you enjoyed a few of my fair pictures.
