Thrifty Goodwill finds

I love a good thrifty find especially if it is a vintage or vintage looking find.  Today I stopped by my Goodwill store and it was full of lots of fall and Halloween decor.  I didn't plan to spend much and walked away with two fun and inexpensive thrifty finds
I picked up this plastic pumpkin for $.49 and the tin bag for $2.99. Two great finds for under $4 total. The metal pumpkin also pictured was a Goodwill find from last year.  I think I paid $5.99 for the wire pumpkin.
As cute as the orange plastic pumpkin was I wanted more of a vintage look so spray paint and Rub 'n Buff to the rescue.

Much more of the vintage look I wanted.

I didn't notice the subtle pattern on the back side of the until I started painting it.

How cute is this smiling face?  Best looking 49 cents pumpkin I've ever seen.

Have you started decorating for fall or Halloween?

Branch and Cone Die Set

I've been busy cutting and playing with the various looks I've been able to get from the new FSJ Branch and Cone die set.
Oh so much possibility with these dies.

Lots of layer possibilities.

Oh the different looks with just three colors of cardstock.

I'm even loving it when the dies don't cut out all the details. I even TRY to get this to happen sometime.

Details and finished projects coming soon!

Spooksville sky card

It's live, the FSJ Holiday mini is live and it is full of lots of great holiday products and inspiration.  I couldn't resist making another card with the Spooksville die set.
I diecut the house and backed it with a GelPress print to create the lights inside. I love the random colors that look like shadows.
The sky came together quickly with PanPastels. A couple swipes of color easily creates a twilight night sky. I finished off with lots of silk splatters to create a twinkling sky.
I just love how quick PanPastels are to use and create wonderful backgrounds.  I think I'll be making many more PanPastel sky backgrounds for cards, especially with this fabulous Spooksville die.
Check out the FSJ holiday mini here for lots of other holiday inspiration.
