I can’t seem to stop making Valentine cards. I don’t know what it is about them right now but I’ve been making lots of them.
Cleaning off my crafting area I left out a piece of scrapbooking paper. It may be familiar, I’ve made and shown some other cards and crafts with pieces of this paper.
One sheet of the 12 x 12 paper has 24 images so it can be used to create a lot of projects.
I gathered some other supplies that matched. Cardstock, journaling notes and cards.
I started by cutting all the images apart and mounting them on some burgundy scraps I had.
Look at all the loveliness.
I’ve had this package of Lengthy Notes for a couple years so it’s about time I use them up. They are embossed and I ran a pink ink pad over them to bring out the embossing.
I gathered a bunch of heart and Valentine stamps.
Some are foam, some wood mounted, some rubber on EZ Mount and some clear. I think I have enough types, don’t you?
Wow, I can’t believe that I have the many to pick from.
The Lengthy Notes are really meant to be one sided so I tried a couple layouts to keep an open space to stamp and write on.
I made a variety of cards, none of them the same.
I did add a sheet of pink cardstock to use up the last of the papers.
Have you ever seen so much red, white and pink in one place?
I remembered I had some small wire heart clips.
One I attached by punching a few holes and running scrappers floss through them,
Another one I attached more like a paperclip with a little tape behind it.
I stuck a flower pin in one of the cards.
I inked up a small paper doily and folded it a bit for this card.
The journaling spots made a great accent behind the patterned papers.
Can you tell this was the last card? I didn’t want to cut up another sheet of cardstock so used three images on this card.
Hmm, I really have way more Valentine cards than I need.
I think there is just over 50 in my container.
I hope that I really did use all of the Valentine themed paper that I have. (Well at least all of it that I know where it is and can find it…. Who knows what I might find as I keep on trying to get a bit more organized and use my hoard, no, my slowly dwindling stash.)
The Lengthy Notes and a few others don’t really fit in this box so I either have to send them all out or find another box to store them in.
If I get a bigger box will I just make more cards to fill it up??
Hmm, maybe I better stick with this size box after all.
Do you send out many Valentine cards?
