Here are the last two cards I made with the Halloween papers and accents I had in my stash.
I have these and other cards available for sale in my Etsy store if you are looking for some handmade cards.

Who doesn’t want a magic potion but I don’t think I’d want to find any of these jars in my cupboards.
This whole card screams poison, just perfect for Halloween.
This is a a less scary Halloween card.
I finally update my patio for fall and thought I’d share a few pictures.
I had most of the decorations on hand but did buy a few pumpkins and a few mum plants.
The bamboo birdcages I had out all summer are looking a bit worn with chipping paint but I think that fits in perfect for fall. I managed to catch a few glittered mice in them as well. :)
The mice were after holiday finds last year for a few dollars. Since they were so inexpensive I won’t mind at all if they they only last a few weeks outside.
The air conditioner doesn’t get much use now but it holds a few light items just fine.
The mouse in this picture got a bit frisky today. He knocked down a few items and broke the pot.
Hanging mum plant with thrifted basket and garland.
You might recognize this wreath faux feather wreath from last year.
I added a Halloween tray that I picked up at a discount store for $1.19. You can probably find similar trays or plates with Halloween decoration on them at your local discount or dollar store.
I think a tray or plate like this would look great on its own as an unique door or wall display.
Have you found any thrifty ways to decorate for Halloween?
Since I was on a roll making Halloween cards I thought I’d share a few more with you.
A few scraps of paper and a few accents were all that was needed for this card.
I love this retro, diagram looking jack-o-lantern tag that I cut from a larger sheet. I embossed a spider web in the pattern paper to give the card a bit more texture.
A small metal tag with witches leg was the perfect accent to hang from the ribbon on this card with the same jack-o-lantern tag.
I thought I’d share more Halloween cards from the set I made lately.
Most of the cards were quick and easy thanks to the journaling and accent cards that i was able to cut out of one sheet of paper.
There is a funny secret behind the black spider. Yes it was a clearance find that was in my stash, I think it was from the Target dollar spot last year. The crazy part is a day after mentioning wooden nickels during my lunch break one of my sister offers me a bag of them and they just happened to be the perfect size to mount these spider stickers! This card has another one of the spider stickers mounted on the wooden nickels.
One good thing about having quite a stash of products is that you might just have the perfect thing to make a really unique thrifty accents.
I might have missed the free beer the wooden nickel was once worth but I think it makes a great base for the spider stickers to make them a bit more prominent.
What free or thrifty finds have you used on your cards?
Last year after Halloween I picked up some Halloween themed papers on clearance that I knew would make great cards. I made a large set of cards that are not too scary.
I love it when I find papers that have images that can be cut out and used as the major focus of a card. I treat them like an ATC without all the work.
Black glittered accents are great accents on this card.
I used a scrap of cat paper I had left from cards I made last year along with ribbon and an rhinestone accent on this card. I love it when I’m able to use leftover accents and pieces on a card.
Do you make and send out Halloween cards and if so do you go for cute or scary cards?
I know it is only the end of July but would you believe I was thinking about Halloween not only today but a month ago when I bought this?
Of course I didn’t look like a spooky Halloween house when I bought it. It was more like this.
Yep, it was a Christmas house but not your typical Christmas Village, this was meant for the kitchen.
This set was five pieces that together make a full holiday decorated inn. I knew when I first saw it that it had potential. I was able to look past the salt & pepper shakers, cookie jar, sugar and creamer set and see the great Halloween house that it could be.
No, I won’t be using this creamer anytime soon.
I won’t be storing sugar in here.
It makes too good of a great spooky house to use the individual pieces. I’ll be keeping it together as one great house.
It was a quick and easy transformation, a coat of primer, a coat of black paint and a light spray of Krylon Glitter Blast and the spooky transformation was complete.
The best part of this transformation was the price tag – 25 cents.
Yep, a whole 5 piece set for a quarter.
Now if this house was life size the entrance might keep me away but since it fits into my hand it doesn’t scare me one bit.
If you see Christmas items at a garage sale, don’t let this scare you away,
See the potential and make your own haunted house like this.
It might just be the best 25 cents you ever spend!

I can’t believe I haven’t shared any pictures of my Halloween decor. It is probably because I didn’t make anything new this year but I did decorate a bit different from last year.
For some reason I love my painted softball that I tucked into a broken lamp.
Last year I made a bone and attempted a skull with some paper pulp and glue.
I filled an old enamelware pan with some Spanish moss and skulls. It looks like skulls crawling out of a graveyard.
I wasn’t sure on the location of the Trick or Treat vinyl so I just stuck the whole sheet up on the wall. I bought it last year on clearance after Halloween. Maybe next year I’ll have the perfect spot for it but for now I’m happy with it as it is.
I still love this Halloween art I made from rub-ons and some ribbon.
The mini enamelware dish was a 10 cent garage sale find and it is the perfect size for some of my scrabble tiles.
The pumpkin and coffins were freebies I bought out again.
I love the cover of this book. I can’t say I remember reading it when I was younger but I do remember pouring through the Scholastic order forms from elementary school and hoping I could order a book or two.
This friendly witch sits on a scale by my front door. Now that I think of it the front door has been sticking lately so maybe she is not so friendly.
Thanks for taking a look at some of my fall and Halloween decor items.

I can’t believe it is only two months to Halloween. I’ve always liked making Halloween cards and this year is no exception. I already made quite a few and listed some in my Etsy store and I thought I’d share a few with you today.
Paper, ribbons and twine, oh my…….
What’s Halloween without a few black glittered bats?
I used this stamp last fall at a rubber stamping show and quickly fell in love with it. I was glad to find it after Halloween last year in the clearance section and quickly grabbed it.
I even found some of the matching papers from this line.
I also found a sheet of paper that I could cut up into little label like embellishments.
Luckily many of Halloween products I have can easily be used together. On this one I used paper, a chipboard accent and epoxy stickers from three different lines.
Have you started thinking about Halloween?
