‘Lovey’ cards

 100_5457

I’m not sure why I would make more cards since I’m trying to downsize the amount of cards by hosting a giveaway here, but I did.

I made more cards.

Twenty-two on Sunday and eight last night.

Well, at at least I was able to use some of my many paper crafting supplies.

I used card bases that I’ve had for years, used lots of packages of stickers and even used some skeleton leaves that I think I’ve had for almost ten years!

I guess I had love on my mind after decorating heart cookies yesterday.

Here are the eight I made last night.

They are all fairly simple, well maybe just simple to me since I have so much to pick from.

Maybe I should say these cards to years to make.

Yep, that’s it.

It took me years to collect all the supplies to make these cards.

Sorry the pictures aren’t the best, its overcast here today but I wanted to share these with you.

These KISS stickers are a recent purchase from Target.

$1 in the scrapbooking isle.

Probably a bit more that I would usually spend on items for a card but I realized there is no reason to not use it.  I can always buy another package if I want to make something else with them.

Since my cards were 4 1/2 x 6 I used 12 X 12 cardstock for the base and had a 3 inch strip left so I made 3” x 6” card with a layer of glittered red cardstock, some fabric labels just stapled on and the love postage look stamp.

I love pink and brown together and when I found this brown tag it was easy to put together this card.

I crumpled a journaling sheet, inked it and wrapped some floss around it.

These skeleton leaves have probably been in my stash for 10 years.

I still have a few more that I hope to use up soon.

I think this is a great trio of cards from one sheet of cardstock, ink, one package of stickers, a couple journaling sheets, some patterned paper and a few skeleton leaves.

I love the detail on the heart stickers.  The bottom heart is just slid in the envelope, it can be removed if you want.

I hope you liked my most recent cards.

  2. Very fun! And doesn't it feel good to use the stuff that's just been sitting there, waiting for it's moment to shine?
